PROPOSITIONS for the Bridge Festival in Memory of Đorđe Dunjić
GENERAL RULES :
1. Bridge Festival is a pair and team competition organized by the Bridge Club Đorđe Dunjić from Vrnjačka Banja
2. At the Festival all Serbian and foreign players can take part.
3. deadline for registering players is one hour before the start of the Tournament, and for OPTS until 10 p.m. on April 30th, 2009 ( to the Executive Manager, Zoran Pavlović ).
4. Players are obliged to be at their places 15 minutes before the start of the Tournament. ( sessions or rounds )
5. Smoking is not allowed.
6. Leaving the room without permission of TD is not allowed.
7. Using mobile phones during the play is not allowed. In case of not obeying these rules, TD is obliged to punish : Team – 2VP

8. HUM and Brown Sticker are not allowed.

 

COMPETITION SYSTEM :
- Introductory Buttler is played in pairs with team account. Depending on the number of players, the TD decides about the rules. It can be played with minimum 20 pairs.
- Trophy Đorđe Dunjić is a pair play with the pair account. There are played three sessions with 24 boards. Depending on the number of registered pairs, the TD decides about the number of rooms. The winner of the tournament is the pair which realize the greatest percentage in three sessions. In case of draw percentage at two pairs ( account done with two decimals ), the worse pair is the one with the least number of percentage at one of these three sessions. The same rule is valid for Open pairs, too.
- Open teams is team competition with team account. The team can have 4 – 6 players. There are IX qualification rounds to be played, where rounds I-VI are Danish, rounds VII-IX Swiss ( without taking into consideration the first six rounds ).
- The best four teams after the IX round go to semi-final. In case of draw VP, a better ranked team is the one which won the competition between them (VP), and in case of draw ( or if those two teams didn't play ) a better ranked team is the one with the greater number of victories ( all IX rounds at the tournament ).
- Semi-final is played with knockout system where the best team of the qualification chooses the opponent.
- Semi-final is played on 12 boards ( without account on 6 boards ).
- Home in semi-final and final are better ranked teams in Round Robin.
- Points from qualification are not transferred.
- In case of draw in semi-final and final the winner team is the one better ranked in Round Robin ( after IX round ). The rest of teams which were after IX round ranked from 5th to the last position, form groups B and C, where the group B consists of 5th-10th position teams, and the group C from 11th to the last position. Competition system in groups B and C is Danish, with transfer of VP from the first IX rounds. In case of draw VP after the last round, a better ranked team is the one which was better ranked after IX rounds of Round Robin. Competition system at Open pair tournament Serbia was put on the BSS web site according to the rules of TK BSS.

INFORMATION for the participants of the Bridge Festival : On April 26th, the day of Introductory Buttler, you'll be able to watch the final play-off of the I League of Serbia which will be played at the Hotel Park at 12 a.m.
